Dylan’s First Day of School

Today was Dylan’s first day of kindergarten at Kingston Elementary School. Last night Dylan was so excited that he couldn’t get to sleep until 11pm even though we started the going to bed process at 9pm! The weather was beautiful for our first walk to school. When Dylan stepped outside at 8am he said, “It’s early and cold!” I took a couple of pictures on the way. As we approached the school grounds, a reporter from Fox News attempted to interview Dylan. Unfortunately, Dylan was too shy and the camera man focused on me. AHHH!!!! At least I had showered and was wearing make-up. J I don’t even remember the questions he asked; I just remember thinking my answers sounded so silly and there was no way that they would air this interview. Then he asked me for my name…and how to spell it! Ugh…So, if you want to see me on the “hot seat” and you’re a local check the Fox newscast sometime tonight. After the interview, the school doors opened and Dylan went right in…he didn’t even look back. He was so happy to see Kendall when he came home. He told her that he had missed her and kissed her all over! Dylan said that the best part of his day was snack time and P.E. Tomorrow he is looking forward to learning to read, phonics, snack time, and P.E.

Ready to go!

Beach Blanket Bunko

I believe my beach-themed Bunko was a success tonight! It was so much fun hanging out with the girls of "Young Chicky Bunko" as Dave calls the group. 1st prize was awarded to Amy, 2nd to Amanda, and 3rd to Alison. We definitely missed Kendell, Melissa, and Kelli, but our subs - - Abby and Amy were both such sweeties!! Hope to see you all next month at Alison's for a "Very Mary" Bunko!?!

Alison won the B.B. (Bunko Babe) award of the month for wearing the pink Hawaiian dress with matching lei. For this honor she was chosen to pose with "The Rock"! (notice Dave's right eyebrow - - we are hoping that when the stitches are removed he will loose this nickname)

Kendall's Big Weekend

We now have a crawling, talking baby! On Saturday Kendall said her first word..."Da-da"! And on Sunday she was crawling. I was going through the Sunday paper and making a pile of what I was done with on the floor. Once Kendall took notice of the sale ads, she took off. It figures that my daughter would be inspired to crawl by shopping the sales!!!

Sedric and Eboni's Folly Beach Wedding

Sedric is David's best friend from the College of Charleston. They lived together and traveled with the basketball team. Even though they graduated almost 10 years ago, they are still great friends.

The ceremony was on Folly Beach, a barrier island off the coast of Charleston, South Carolina. Here are the groomsmen.
