We all had a blast this weekend with all of the Halloween festivities. Dylan and I dressed up as pirates, Kendall was Minnie Mouse, and Dave was "A Man with Hair". :) On Friday morning I volunteered to help out at Dylan's school harvest party which was lots of fun. At 6pm, we hit the streets for trick or treating with Ella and Joey, and at the end of the night we drove over to Amy and Sam's house to get the kids together for a bit. Then on Saturday night we went to the Zoo Boo for more trick or treating and a frightful train ride.

Halloween Eve
Daddy and Paw Paw took Dylan to school tonight for a special evening with the witch from Pungo. He had his face painted and enjoyed some treats. Afterwards, Paw Paw, Nana, and Dylan carved a jack-o-lantern and toasted pumpkin seeds.

Navy JAG Dining Out
Last night Christina and I attended a Navy JAG Dining Out event, and we had a great time. It was a unique experience for two civilians, as I think we were the only non-military/non-military spouse couple in attendance. Fortunatly for us, the "Mess," "President," and "Vice President" did not "Fine" us or make us drink the "Grog." Actually, I think I would have liked to have a cup of Grog. It was great to see the five services all in attendance and enjoying an evening together.

Fall Vacation in Myrtle Beach
For Dave's fall break from Regent we went to Myrtle Beach. It was so nice to get to visit with Gran J, Grandpa, Maw Maw and Ann. Even though it was in the 60's most of the time, we still had a lot of fun and Dylan, Dave, and Gran J still managed to get in the ocean! Due to less tourists in the fall, Dylan and Christina had their own private ride on the merry-go-round at Barefoot Landing which was full of Halloween decorations.

October Bunco
Amy hosted this month's Bunco night and chose Breast Cancer Awareness as her theme in honor of Joy. Every Bunco Babe came dressed in pink and secretly took turns praying over a prayer quilt, made by Amanda and Chris, for Joy before the game got started. Amy cooked up a most delicious dinner; everybody was begging for the Rasta Pasta recipee by the end of the night! We all look forward to wearing our red, white, and blue next month at Joy's Election Night Bunco!!!
