David F. Johnson, Esq.

He did it! Dave passed the Virginia and Tennessee Bar Exams!!! This is a picture of him and his study group the day they left for their week long bar exam journey. They traveled to Roanoke and studied in a hotel for 5 days before the VA bar which lasted two days. Then, after finishing day 2 of the VA bar they drove 8 hours through a rain storm studying TN law for the first time the whole way. After getting a couple of hours sleep, they were up again to take the TN bar exam. All of the hard work and long hours of studying have paid off. I am so proud of Dave and our good friends, Miranda and Drew!

Daddy & Kendall's Night on the Town

Dave took Kendall for her first Doumar's experience. It is a restaurant in Norfolk that has been family owned and operated since 1934. You can dine inside or in your car where waitresses will ask you to turn your headlights on when you're ready to order.

Then, they were off to the Ted Constant Convocation Center to see Elmo's Healthy Heroes. Kendall LOVED every minute of the show!

Kendall's New BFF

Our puppy, Dasher, is now 9 months old and 75 lbs. Even though he is a doberman, he is extremely loving and gentle with the kids. Dylan has loved him from the beginning, but it has taken a bit longer for Kendall to warm up to him. Over the past couple of weeks, she has been talking to Dasher more and more, "Dasher Here!, Dasher Go Place!, Dasher NO LICK!!!". The other day, I found Kendall under the table inviting Dasher to share a snack with her.

Graduation Weekend

Last weekend, Dave graduated from Regent Law School. I am so proud of him! On Friday night, we attended a banquet in honor of the Law School graduates. And on Saturday morning, Dave walked across the stage for the dipoloma that he has worked so hard for these past three years! We went to a couple of parties after the ceremony, but the "real party" will be held after the BAR Exam!!! It was a wonderful weekend, and the whole family is thrilled with Dave's accomplishment!

Disney's Story & Pajama Night

We took the kids to the Disney Store to hear the new holiday story, Prep and Landing. The store was filled filled with children dressed for bed! They were each given juice with chocolate chip cookies and a coloring sheet while they listened to the story. Then they played a game of pictionary.

Dylan knew all the answers! :)

Kendall wore her monkey pjs and fur coat. :)

About the time she started licking her coat was when they passed out the chocolate chip cookies.

Kendall loved her first chocolate chip cookie!

Halloween in Myrtle Beach

This year we decided to spend Halloween in Myrtle Beach with friends. Saturday afternoon was nice enough for the kids to enjoy playing on the beach. The water was cold, but they each managed to get a little wet. We went to Barefoot Landing to trick-or-treat with the Scearce family. A lot of the stores were passing out candy, and it was surprisingly quite crowded. Dylan was pretty original for a 6 year-old in his Indiana Jones costume, and even Kendall appeared to be the only Elmo around. It was fun getting to see so many costumes and especially to watch Kendall trick-or-treat for the first time. She didn't know the word candy until Halloween '09! We were very impressed with how quickly she picked up on the routine of walking up to strangers, holding up a bucket, and saying, "candy"! :) She loved it!

Hot and worn out from all of her hard work!

Thanks to Mrs. O for the loan of the bomber jacket and hat!
