Neighborhood Extravaganza Part I

Last weekend, my friends and I hosted a neighborhood Easter Egg Hunt. It was a huge success, especially since the morning started off quite rainy! Fortunately, the skies cleared just in time. We had 23 children attend, and I think they all enjoyed the Eggstravaganza. We started off with one round of hunting for eggs. Then we did an egg race and egg toss. After the games, there were still plenty of eggs to be had, so we were able to have a second round of egg hunting.

Nana and PawPaw were in town for a visit.

The Soape brothers wore there Easter best! :)

St. Patrick's Day Party

We got together with our neighbors for a cook out to celebrate St. Patrick's Day. Thank you to our friends, The Soapes, for being such gracious hosts! We are extremely grateful to God for the blessing of such wonderful friends, who are also our neighbors! :)

My First Wreath

I have been inspired by my wonderfully, crafty neighbors to make my first wreath. I still need to find just the right ribbon to make a bow for the top, but I couldn't wait to hang it.

Father Daughter Ball

Last weekend, Dave and Kendall attended the Father Daughter Ball. Kendall was so excited to get to go dance the night away with Daddy.

Dave said that Kendall was a "Dance Maniac"! They were both completely exhausted when they got home.

Kendall's Field Trip to the Farm

Kendall and I had loads of fun on her field trip to the farm. She really enjoyed everything...the hayride, picking out a pumpkin, seeing the farm animals, and playtime with her friends.

Vrginia State Fair

Last weekend we visited Nana and PawPaw and went to the Virginia State Fair. The kids had a lot of fun!

Dylan rode the mechanical bull!

Kendall met Lady Luck, the Virginia Lottery's fairy princess.

Dylan had fun climbing a gigantic tractor!

The sign says, "What happens at Nana and PawPaw's Stays at Nana and PawPaw's". However, the two goldfish that Kendall and Dylan won over the weekend managed to make the trip back home with us.
