Kendall's Big Girl Accomplishment

With Nana's encouragement, I finally decided to hand the spoon over to Kendall. She did just fine! My baby girl is growing into a big girl so fast!

Where Fearless Kids Shine God's Light

Dylan had a blast last week along with several hundred other kids at our church's Vacation Bible School. This year's theme was Crocodile Dock set in the swamp. This year was actually my first year at Vacation Bible School as a crew leader. I led a group of 9 fourth graders each day, and I can't wait to do it again next year! It was such a wonderful experience!
Here's Jacques Le Croc rockin' out with the Jesus Girls. Every morning we began the day with great music and prayer.

Here, Pastor Billy is preparing the kids for prayer.

I found Dylan in the crowd!

The children collected a ton of canned goods and toys for Outreach for Christ! Dylan learned how we were donating toys to children of parents in prison for Christmas, so that the kids would not think that their parents had forgotten about them. He went right home the first day and filled two bags of toys to give away!

These are some of the characters we used to teach the children about God and his word.

Celebrating the 4th of July with the Julians

We spent the holiday weekend in Myrtle Beach with some good friends. As we walked the kids to the playground we came across a parade of golf carts celebrating the 4th!

One night we went out to dinner. Being a holiday weekend we had to wait a while for a table, but the view was wonderful. We watched an egret, a bunch of turtles and even a couple of alligators.

Kendall LOVES the ocean.

She'll even go in fully clothed if you let her! :)

Water Park Fun at Busch Gardens

Last weekend we went to the Sesame Street water play area at Busch Gardens. We expected that Dylan would want to play in the water, so he was dressed appropriately for the event; however, we had no idea that Kendall was going to get so into it. Thank goodness, I pack that diaper bag well, and brought a change of clothes for her. I only wish that I had worn flip flops...my socks and shoes were soggy, wet the rest of the day.

Goin' for it....
and lovin' it!

Dylan Has Returned from the Outback

Last week Dylan took the Boomarang Express to Vacation Bible School. It was an Australian theme, so they decorated hats appropriate for the Outback and all kinds of musical instruments including a didjeridoo. He had a lot of fun! Next month he will be attending Vacation Bible School at our home church, so be on the look out for another post entitled "Rock the Dock".
Dylan made a fishing rod after learning the story of Peter. Dylan says that he would like to be a Fisher of Men!

Home and ready for another summer adventure!
